Welcome!

I believe that there is an incredible wisdom in women’s bodies that, when honored, will deliver their babies into their arms in exactly the way it knows is best. I firmly believe God created you to do this and I am honored to walk beside you as you journey toward your birth and into your postpartum time.

Hear From the Mamas

Angela was amazing! After 11 medicated hospital births, she gave me the assurance that my body would go into labor on its own and that I could have an unmedicated homebirth. She answered all of my questions I had throughout my pregnancy. She was amazing support during the birth of my daughter and encouraged me to listen to my body. She was great at giving me suggestions of different positions and breathing techniques to help during labor as well. I would recommend her to anyone looking to have a homebirth!

Angela was a last minute addition to our birth team for our twin boys, and I am so thankful that she was there. She was a calming and encouraging presence during labor. She knew when to hang back and when to offer advice. She brought a positive energy to the birth and we are very thankful for her!

Angela has been there for the births of two of my boys and has been an amazing support. She is very knowledgeable in hypnobirthing and was often able to remind me to follow that and release any tension. Her support allowed us to have a wonderful home labor and birth. She was an amazing assistant when our first birth needed to transfer and was calm in the emergent part of the birth. She was excellent at assisting in postpartum care and ensuring that nursing went well after both births. I definitely recommend talking with and getting to know her as she is an excellent addition to any birth team.

Women instinctually know how to nourish each other, and just being with each other is restorative. -Tanja Taaljard

Midwifery Care

A Midwife is one that “walks with women”. Not in front of women, not instead of women, not in control of women. I simply walk with you, and I support you with my heart, soul, mind, and sometimes my hands.

A Village Model

For me, this is about being the kind of midwife that is more than just a set of clinical appointments from 12 weeks pregnant to 6 weeks postpartum. It’s about a real relationship. It’s about connecting to the greater community and linking arms with a circle of support. Not just to prepare for birth, but as sisters in this journey of motherhood and life. I too am a mama, and I humbly hope to link arms with many women and families that I meet throughout the years in co-mission of making our communities stronger and rooted in real connection.
